Welcome to City Kayak! By using our website, making a reservation, or participating in our kayak rentals, tours, and activities, you agree to the following terms.

Reservations are subject to availability and confirmation. Full payment or a required deposit may be necessary to secure your reservation. Prices, applicable taxes, and fees will be displayed or communicated during booking.

Certain group activities and events require a minimum reservation of six (6) participants. Additional event-specific requirements may apply.

Cancellations, reservation changes, and refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy. Some special events or reservations may have their own cancellation and refund terms, which will be communicated during booking. Please review the applicable policy before completing your reservation.

Kayaking is an outdoor water activity subject to changing weather and water conditions. City Kayak reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel activities when necessary for safety. Customers must follow all instructions from City Kayak staff and guides.

If City Kayak cancels an activity due to unsafe weather or water conditions, the options described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy will apply.

All participants must:

• Follow staff and guide instructions.
• Wear an approved personal flotation device (PFD) as required.
• Use equipment responsibly.
• Follow applicable safety rules and waterfront regulations.
• Provide accurate information during the reservation process.

Minors may require parent or legal guardian consent and supervision, depending on the activity.

City Kayak may refuse participation to anyone who does not meet applicable safety or participation requirements.

All participants may be required to review and sign City Kayak's liability waiver before participating.

Kayaking involves inherent risks, including changing weather, water conditions, boat traffic, equipment use, and physical activity.

The liability waiver is a separate document and does not get replaced by these Terms of Service.

Customers are responsible for using kayaks, paddles, PFDs, and other equipment properly and returning them in the condition provided, except for normal wear. Customers may be responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse, or failure to follow instructions. City Kayak is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings, except as required by law.

Participants must behave responsibly and respectfully toward staff, other customers, other waterfront users, and the environment. Unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from an activity without a refund, subject to applicable law.

All website content, including text, photographs, logos, and other materials, belongs to City Kayak or its respective owners and may not be copied or used without permission. Customers agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its operation, or submit false or misleading information.

Personal information collected through our website and reservation process is handled according to our separate Privacy Policy.

City Kayak may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

By making a reservation or participating in a City Kayak activity, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
