Plans and weather conditions can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be straightforward and fair.

If City Kayak cancels an event due to inclement weather or unsafe water conditions, you may reschedule for another available date or receive a full refund.

We will communicate weather-related changes in advance whenever possible. If conditions are unsafe on the day of the event, City Kayak will cancel the event and offer rescheduling or a full refund.

Unless otherwise specified for a particular event or reservation, refunds are based on how far in advance you contact us:

7 or more days 100% Refund

6 days 80%

5 days 60%

4 days 40%

3 days 20%

Within 48 hours No refund

The same schedule applies to full cancellations and partial changes, including reductions in participants or kayaks. Refunds apply only to the canceled portion of the reservation.

Applicable group reservations require a minimum charge equivalent to six participants, plus applicable taxes and fees.

If your group size decreases, the six-person minimum charge still applies when City Kayak proceeds with the event. For example, a reservation reduced from eight participants to four remains subject to the six-person minimum charge. 

Full reservation cancellations are subject to the applicable refund schedule.

Certain events, private groups, promotional offers, or special reservations may have their own cancellation and refund policies.

When applicable, the specific terms will be communicated or displayed during the booking process and will apply to that reservation.

Please arrive at your scheduled check-in time. No refunds are provided for late arrivals, missed activities, or no-shows.

Contact City Kayak as soon as possible with your name, reservation number, and requested change. Your request must be acknowledged by City Kayak to be confirmed.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your payment provider or financial institution.
