Enjoy to paddle around the Alcatraz
- INDIVIDUAL : 24 Hour Policy – You can change or cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before the event. You will receive money back after transaction fee(5%). Please call or email to ask for a refund. After which you will be charged up to $20 per person for change or cancellation.
- GROUP : 7 Day Policy – You can change or cancel a reservation up to 7 days before the event. 20% daily deduction afterwards. After which you will be charged up to $20 per person for change or cancellation.
During the trip you will see other famous landmarks and grand view of the bay: Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, historic ships at the Aquatic Park, etc.
The route may change if the wind and tidal currents stronger than forecasted.

Youth include from age 12 to 17 and students. Please bring qualifying IDs along with the reservation.

You need a prior kayaking experience in your life time. Recommended weight range is between 90lbs to 200lbs.
We provide paddling gear, guides. Provided gear list: dry jacket, spray skirt, life jacket, paddle, double seatouring kayaks, (paddle mittens for cold weather), dry bag. Single travelers will be paired with another.
Typically your trip looks like the following: Hour 0-1: check-in, trip briefing, gear up, fit kayaks; Hour 1-2.5: paddle on the water; Hour 3: return, rinse gear and kayak, check-out.
What to bring
Change of clothes and extra shoes in case you get wet from splash.
Also recommend- waterproof camera to capture the world class scenery, sunglasses, sunglass leash, hat(in cold weather). Layering is recommended as temperture changes quickly from morning cold to hot afternoon. And moisture wicking garment (rather than cotton).
What to wear
Active sports wear works best; TEVA water sandal, quick dry shirt and pants. Wind jackets are helpful. Avoid loose clothing, down-filled jacket, or dress shoes.
Refund, Change, Cancellation Policy
You could get motion sickness if you are tired, hungry, hung over, or sensitive to motion sickness. One way to reduce symptoms of motion sickness is to eat ginger (ginger snaps work too) prior to the trip.
You are encouraged to tip the guides if you feel they go above and beyond their duty. 15% gratuity is recommended.
Your bags and belongings will be stored in a container. Please leave valuables at home.
Motion sickness warning
You are very likely to catch motion sickness if you are hungry, hung over, or tired. Carbonated water is better than plain water. Take remedies if you are motion sensitive- like ginger or transdermal patch. Dramamine may not work for some people.
